We’ve all heard the expression, “Money doesn’t grow on trees.” But the Pachira aquatica, a tropical wetland tree, is commonly known as the “Money Tree”, and is often gifted in the spirit of wishing one great financial well-being. The name is traced to popular lore about a man who longed for wealth, found this plant, and began a successful business cultivating more Pachira trees from his first seedlings.
A Money Tree boasts a striking braided trunk, made from the joining of multiple Pachira aquatica, which reinforces its sturdiness as it blooms to its full potential. This symbol of good fortune represents strength through collaboration, rootedness in a solid foundation, and the endless possibility for growth.
